The Week 1 victory opened the season with a home win at Lincoln Financial Field, and marked the sixth consecutive Week 1 win of Jalen Hurts’ career; a feat only three quarterbacks in NFL history have accomplished.


Hurts led the offense with 203 passing yards and 3 touchdowns, adding 46 rushing yards on 7 carries, while Saquon Barkley added 83 yards on 15 carries on the ground. Dallas Goedert hauled in 4 receptions for 77 yards and 2 touchdowns, and Dontayvion Wicks added a 73-yard touchdown reception. Defensively, Jihaad Campbell anchored the unit with 9 total tackles, a sack, and a tackle for loss, while Jake Elliott was perfect on the day, connecting on his only field goal attempt and all three extra points.


These clippings were collected by the Eagles grounds crew from the field at Lincoln Financial Field immediately following the conclusion of the game, preserving a piece of turf from the team’s 2026 season opener.
